The idea for AbsolutePanda was born in the early 2000s, from the simple act of answering travelers' questions. After visiting the panda base, our guests would often ask, still filled with excitement, "What else can we see around here?" or "What other experiences can we add to our trip?"
Inspired by these questions, we began exploring what lay beyond the pandas. To our surprise, we discovered that the panda habitats and their surrounding regions are filled with remarkable natural and cultural treasures—far more than most visitors ever imagine. That discovery inspired us to create a platform showcasing these hidden gems for travelers who come to China for the pandas but are eager to experience much more, while also bringing visitors to those places and generating tangible benefits for local communities.
We chose "Panda" as part of our name because every traveler we served shared one unmistakable passion—a love for pandas. At the same time, we realized that while many wanted to extend their journeys, their interests varied greatly. Some were drawn to nature, others to history, cuisine, or authentic local experiences. That diversity inspired us to add the word "Absolute," reflecting our commitment to creating journeys as unique as the travelers themselves.
Thus, AbsolutePanda was born.
Our name is our promise: to deliver absolute travel experiences for those who place their trust in us. With nearly three decades of experience in the travel industry, we have come to believe that travel is not a product, but an art—an art of discovering the beauty of nature, culture, and human connection. And like all art, it is deeply personal. Every traveler experiences it differently. That is why we never stop learning, listening, and refining what we do. Only by truly understanding our guests can we create a journey that is uniquely right for them—and one they will remember for a lifetime.
For more than twenty years, AbsolutePanda has had the privilege of serving thousands of travelers from all six continents—from independent adventurers and families to student groups, corporate partners, and NGOs—including the most prominent eco-tourism company, which is the sole travel partner of WWF.
