Journey Itinerary
Day 2
Chengdu Panda Base and Transfer to Tangjiahe
Visit the Chengdu Panda Base in the morning, when giant pandas are usually more active. Spend time observing giant pandas and learning about panda conservation before leaving Chengdu. After lunch, drive to Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve, one of Sichuan’s best places for wildlife exploration. Upon arrival, check into accommodation near the reserve and prepare for the next day’s nature walks.
Day 3
All-Day Wildlife Exploration in Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve
Spend the whole day exploring Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve with guided walks along forest trails and ecological routes. Look for possible sightings of wild animals such as takins, Tibetan macaques, muntjacs, pheasants, and other forest species. The pace remains flexible so the day can follow the best wildlife-viewing opportunities.
Day 4
Tangjiahe, Qingxi Ancient Town and Golden Monkey Reserve
Continue exploring Tangjiahe in the morning with another reserve walk to maximize wildlife-viewing chances. After lunch, leave Tangjiahe and make a cultural stop at Qingxi Ancient Town, a quiet old town with local history, traditional streets, and the mountain-town atmosphere of northern Sichuan. Later, continue to the Golden Monkey Reserve area and check into nearby accommodation for an early visit the next morning.
Day 5
Golden Monkey Reserve back to Chengdu
Visit the Golden Monkey Reserve in the morning for a close observation of Sichuan golden monkeys, watching their behavior, social groups, and beautiful golden coats at close range. After lunch, drive back to Chengdu. Upon arrival in the afternoon or evening, transfer to your pre-booked hotel or the airport, where the AbsolutePanda service concludes.
