Fugui Wan

Fugui Wan is a Nature & Wildlife Guide born and raised in Wolong Nature Reserve, the world-famous home of the giant panda. With deep roots in the local community, Fugui has a unique understanding of the region’s landscapes, wildlife, and traditional way of life.

Before becoming a guide, Fugui worked on conservation and community development projects in Wolong, gaining valuable experience in balancing nature protection with the needs of local communities. Through ecotourism, he hopes to continue supporting conservation efforts while sharing the beauty of his hometown with visitors from around the world.

As an experienced outdoor enthusiast and skilled hiker, Fugui was the first and only person in Wolong Nature Reserve to complete professional mountaineering training and receive certification. His strong field skills, local knowledge, and caring personality make him an excellent companion for exploring the forests and mountains of the panda habitat.

Beyond giant pandas, Fugui enjoys introducing guests to the wider natural and cultural richness of Wolong, helping travelers discover the many stories hidden within this remarkable landscape.
